Nope, sorry I haven't been there, but I think that it's been mentioned on this board berfore, so you might want to try the search function...

Been there, done that, bought the coupon. I'm looking for more info and opinions.

Been to Josephs once, very good and very pricey.

I'm not sure that my comments re Sousa restaurants warranted this type of response, but surely saying anything even remotely negative about "Rockys"
(among others possibly) was sure to elicit something along these lines.
Have a good day!

That's a lot better than not good and very pricey. Thanks for the posting!

It’s not the fastest breakfast in the world but that’s part of the charm of the place. the staff are very friendly and attentive but will not intrude until you call them. They will however do whatever you need to make your stay enjoyable! Be fair and try them again.

Perhaps this was just a case of bad timing and even an isolated incident,
but appeared that the waitress was having problems controlling one of the kids who was running around the tables at the time - As such, communication wasn't an option... And by the way, I wasn't the only customer in the place - the couple who came in at the same time I did, also left right behind me...
Having travelled extensively thru Mexico and Africa, I do understand the concept of "slow service"
I appreciate your comments!

I think Josephs is great. I was there in July and I believe the meal came out to about 1400 pesos each including the 2 drinks each we had. For the quality of the meal, the service and the incredible view, I thought it was a very good deal.
Baileys is a terrific restaurant for the price. Great food, great salad bar, nice open atmosphere and very reasonable.
Rockys is the place to go for breakfast, ribs, pizza or just to have a couple of beers. Whenever I am in Sosua, I am in Rockys every day.

I gotta say I love Rocky's
Marco has always been alright with me and I truly cannot say anything negative about him or his place. I bounce back and forth between NY and Puerto Plata quite often and Rocky's is the place where I eat.
Understanding that the tempo is quite a bit slower then the rest of the world I know to not be in a hurry. I also call ahead to Rockys with the order I want and by the time I get there it is done. Grab a business card from the counter/bar next time you are in town. If you are a regular costumer they have no problem going over an order with you on the phone. Hmmmmm, try doing that with another place and see what your responce will be.
Give them another try and perhaps I may suggest. Speak up and get their attention. The girls that work there are very sweet! You can even grab Marco's attention if need be!
Enjoy your vacation and don't sweat it!
Happy New Year eveyone!

I go to Bailys often and the food comes out fast. Slow food is slow because of lack of proper training.

It might also be slow because they are cooking each order individually and with care.
