Sosua visit

husband and i going to sosua for 5 days at end of november. We would like to spend a couple of days in Jarabacoa. Any buses from Sosua that can take us there and any recommendations for cheap hotel. Also, is it possible to do an easy hike to one of the waterfalls without a guide?

No buses from Sosua to Jarabacoa. You can take Caribe Tours bus that goes to Santo Domingo (leaves hourly at 20 minutes past the hour) to Santiago (or possibly La Vega) and take a bus or publico from there to Jarabacoa. I'm sure other posters will give you specific directions, but for sure there is nothing direct from Sosua.
