Default Future Of The Former Street Vendors From The Puerto Plata Malecon?

Afternoon everyone

I was just wondering whether anyone knew what future is in store for the street vendors who used to line the Malecon now that it's been refurbished?

I know that they were moved into a nearby street (don't know it's name) but surely they will have to move from there soon?

I think the street vendors gave the malecon it's character but I do appreciate that they were a huge factor in the litter that used to line the street. However, even without them, people will still come down and bring their own drinks and leave their litter behind. How long do you think it will take to reach the former litter state?

From what I understand, the fees were hiked just enough so that most cannot afford to return.
