Default Few Questions about Puerto Plata

Hey guys I had a few questions, I've read some really mied reviews about the Occidental Caribbean Village Club on the Green but thats where we are staying lol Does anyone on here have anything to say about this place? Also which disco's are local and would be good for a few 23 yr old guys? If anyone could help me out that'd be great!

Thanks!

I have never stayed at Club on the Green, so I cannot comment on your hotel. However, there are many discos located on the Playa Dorada Complex. You can try Hemmingway Cafe or Roadway Cafe, both at the Playa Dorada Plaza, Mangu at Jack Tar Village Hotel and Casino, Crazy Moon at Paradise Beach Club (haven't been there for 2 years - may no longer be open...IMO you are not missing anything). Hemmingway and Roadway play typical North American music (noise) and Mangu plays a mix of Hip Hop and R & B as well as Merengue and Reggaeton (didn't hear any Salsa or Bachata when I was there 3 weeks ago, but lots of Reggaeton). Also, the place was full of prostitutes - seemed to be more of them than there were male tourists to 'purchase' their services...

If you want to experience a Dominican Disco, take a taxi to Montellano and go to Azúcar Tipico or El Rancho Tipico - both great car washes and you will have the chance to dance Merengue, Bachata, Salsa and Reggaeton. And the bottles of Brugal (yes bottles!) come almost cheaper than you can buy one drink at Mangu!

Enjoy!

All I can say is that I walked from Grand Flamenco to club on the green to take a look at the gym so I could use it. All I can say is that the place really needs some major renovations. Never went back.
