Wink 3rd trip to DR

Hi everyone! Nice site. Have been reading alot of the threads. My husband and I are visiting the DR for the 3rd time. First trip was to PP, last trip was Sousa, Club Sabatini and we enjoyed so much we are headed back there on May 1 - 12. Would like to see more this trip. Anxious to visit Voo Doo Lounge again and see all the muffins..... anyway, saw talk of Rockys. would like to check it out, not sure which way to head from exiting the resort. Also last time my husband went on a fishing trip with a local he met at the Bay in front of the resort but would like to find out if there are party boats or other charters available. Husband is a golf nut and has been over to PP to play both times heard there is another course east of Sousa. Thinking of taking a day trip to Punta Cana, taxi or rent a car for the day?? Thanks for any help or advice.

hey
sosua is far away from punta cana, doesn't really make sense to go for a day trip, even 2 days trip would be tiring, to get there through north coast you would have to rent a car, with buses you could go with Caribe Tour to Santo Domingo and then take super fast express from SD to Bavaro and then a taxi to beach or hotel but it doesn't seem to be possible to do that with the buses just for one day trip...

For a map of Sosua see:

Rocky's is #16.

Playa Grande is world-class golf course located east of Sosua. Search Play Grande and you will find info.

Default Thanks,

Thank you for the information. I did not realize that Punta Cana was so far away, may have to wait until the next trip and book a resort over there. I did check out the map and that should help. Last trip we did spend a day in Cabarete (sorry for any mispellings) at the beach, may check out the stores this time. My husband bought cigars last trip Opus I think but instead of taking along his CAO he wanted to know if they are available in stores in Sosua or Cabarete. Who would you recommend contacting for something in the way of a day trip to see some tropical sites etc?? Thanks for any help offered.
