Current Taxi Rates from POP Airport
From POP airport to:
Cabarete - US$30
Cabrera - US$110
Costambar - US$40
Sosua - US$20
Puerto Plata - US$30
Luperon - US$80
Playa Dorada - US$25
Rio San Juan - US$45
There are 2 huge signs put where they can be easily seen by people leaving the terminal after passing through Customs. Listed are all the places in the country a traveler arriving in Puerto Plata airport might want to go.

is there a sign similar to this one in Santiago airport? my airfare was much cheaper to STI and i enjoyed the ride there last time so I figured what the hell drink some presidentes and enjoy a liesurely ride in the afternoon from STI to Sosua.

STI to Sosua, last I heard was 80 bucks, but we have some taxi friends, by way of Hillbilly, who do it for $70.

I've used them on numerous occasions and have no complaints. Plus, JJ speaks English and is an excellent tour guide, if you want him to take you around POP, STI or anywhere in between.

I can vouch for JJ's service as I and some friends used him last November, and I arranged for transportation for friends of mine in January. Excellent service, and a hell of a nice guy.

The sign is blank but theyall have the rate sheets.
