Really great article. The best investment so far in the North Coast. Good promotion. I hope they will make something like that in South Coast as well.

We sat and watched the construction from our villa on altos de Cofresi for a couple of weeks. The casino and disco looks amazing from above. Sure hope these new laws do not hurt this project.

I am pretty certain that by the time the Ocean World Marina and Casino (and bars) officially open in December, that touristic developments or zones will be exempted from the new laws. At least thats what we've been told by certain government officials but who knows how much to believe.

I'm not so sure that they will change the law that quick. When you read the newspaper site from dr1, you will see that crime is going down fast, emergency departments from hospitals have even empty beds and there are nights that there is no crime at all to report. The rules at least effect the crime in a good way, but they will in the same time effect the tourism business in a very bad way.
