Smile growing avocado trees

Does anyone have information regarding where in DR to purchase small avocado trees in large quantities and how much they cost and what size/age the trees would be.

Also, looking to purchase property...100 to 200 acres in DR. Important requirements are: that the soil (rich, but well drained) and property would make a good avocado farm, good source of water such as a running stream or river, and access to the property (road frontage).

Any thoughts/comments regarding starting an avocado farm in DR will be appreciated.

Thanks!

Ya that's great. What I'm saying is kfrancis posted a while back about a large avocado farm that was naturally irrigated in the Southwest. Why not pm him.

Default Falling fruit disaster

Hi all you avocado experts....

one of my largest avocado trees has given the largest crop I have ever had on it this year and now as all the fruit is beginning to grow larger, more and more of the fruit is falling off the tree!
As far as i can see, there are no obvious problems with the tree....

Is there something I can do to stop the tree shedding so much of the growing fruit?

Many thanks
Pavlos

Harvest them before they fall.
That's what we do.
Avocados are normally not left on the tree to mature and thus become soft.
