Default Beach re construction
INFO received from Playa Dorada (vice-president of the Playa Dorada Hoteliers Association).

I'm following this closely and the info that comes out is completely wrong and out of proportion, making people to even cancel holidays and worry unnecessary.
First none of the hoteliers have advised the tour operators, of when there beach reconstruction will take place as yet dates are not sure due to work delaying in Long Beach.
My advise is to wait until anything officially comes from the hotel's. My opinion is that it will take two to three weeks before reaches Costa Dorada and probably more then a month only to reach Paradise Beach. From the Gran Ventana on, is still on stand by to decide if either need's reconstruction or not as there is enough stretch of beach.

That's so funny, I was just coming here to post a question about beach reconstruction. I saw This Article and noticed that it said the Cabarete beach should be finished by winter. We're planning a trip over Thanksgiving and I'm curious where I can get information on schedules for the beach reconstuction projects. Is our hotel responsible for telling us?

I understand the humor... ok, if not a schedule per se, do they even know what order they're doing the beaches in? Or is that too much to ask also?

West to East is the order, Long Beach, playa Dorada then who knows!

Pretty much as Hlywud said.

Long Beach, then Costa Dorada to Playa Dorada to Playa Bergantin and on to Sosua and Cabarete as required, AFAIK.
