Clubs in the Puerta Plata region

Hola,

Voy a visitar Puerta Plata 14-21 Agosto y me gusta mucho la musica salsa (merengue, bachata y reggaeton tambien). Soy salsera y espero que voy a bailar cada noche.

I need some information about clubs in the Puerto Plata region.
Which ones play salsa? Or latin music in general. What days of the week do they operate? Are they safe for gringas? (I'm used to going into dance clubs in Toronto on my own or with friends... but it's my territory and I feel safe with all the big bouncers at the door.) Which clubs have a good clientele who love to dance? And words of advice?
