staying in traditional house (private?)

I was wondering if it is possible to stay in old style simple traditional (wooden?) private house for a week or two in north coast area??? (eg cuba)
Is it possible to find such place on the spot, after arrival?
Would love to expierence local style of living....

I stayed in a house like this in Luperon. You might try going there as I did with a guide who can find you a family.
