Question Paradise Beach Club

I am a week from leaving for the DR. I have tried hard to keep an open mind about feedback I have seen about the Paradise beach Club that I have seen on various web sites. I would like to hear from anyone that has an insight to this resort.

Thanks,

Ash

I've stayed at Paradise twice back in 2004 and 2003. It is a 3 star, not fancy just basic. I booked last minute and paid a cheap price so I was fine with it. My room was clean so that's always important. Food to me is the same at all AI's, buffet regular stuff, I did enjoy the Italian restaurant. It's located in a great spot but it's an older hotel and it could use some work for sure. I enjoyed myself both times I also do get out of the resort area and to me that's where the real fun is But I'm the type of person who has fun no matter where I go, I always try to make the best of it! Since it's been atleast 2 yrs I'm not sure if it has gotten worse or better hopefully better
Oh make sure you are not staying in room where you have to climb a lot of stairs not a great place to stay, if so switch and pay the extra for a room.

Stayed there in Feb. of this year. Will second Music's opinion, rooms are VERY beat (but cleaned every day). Best reason for staying here is the location- directly on the beach- a 2min walk to the mall/movie theater (my kids can give you a hilarious report about that) - and the golf course. Food here was pretty good, but the rooms, if important, will be a huge downer. Casino was pretty crappy too but for under $700 incl air for the week was worth it, spent our money on surfing (cabarete) dining out (POP) and the links (Santiago).

Paradise is an ok resort. It is right by the beach and close to all attractions in playa dorada such as hemmingways cafe, the cinema adn the mini mall. It also has the tropical casino and the ever so popular crazy moon disco club. Watch out for the hookers as they frequent there, they usualy hang out the at disco. Lots of local presence due to the club.
