Post Power Outages

Hello!

We will be heading down in early March for spring break. We will be staying at a private villa between Caberete and Sosua. We were wondering how frequent are the power outages?

Also, the schedule on the Edenorte website does not mention Caberete or Sosua.

Any info would be greatly appreciated! Thanks so much!

Doesn't the private villa have back up power?
If it does, it's not a problem how frequent the outages are.
If it doesn't, bring your flashlight and a pack of Kleenex, for when you're crying the blues.
BTW: These days the power's pretty good. Tomorrow.. Nobody knows.

Rocky, what the hell are you talking about. The power in Los Cerros-Sosua
has been out more than on during the past 6/7 days. It has been out so much
that the water company could not pump enough water to Los Cerros and
many cysterns have gone dry.
Also the power down schedule is completely erratic and unpredictable no
matter what they publish on their website. EDE Norte is completely
incompetent and needs to be put out of business.

I didn't know you guys were having problems up there.
Sorry to hear that.
Hope you have a giant planta.
El Batey's been so good lately, I hesitate to even mention it, lest I jinx it.

Default Large Planta

Hello Rocky,
Enjoy your good fortune now for it will change.
I have a 36 kw planta so no problem except my EDE Norte bill drops below
US $ 100 but my gasoil bill jumps to US $ 500. You can not win for trying.
