place to stay in cabarete?

i am planning on going to cabarete this coming june/july package deal from canada and one of the ladies i spoke to at the airport gave me the choices of tropical casa laguna or the paraiso del sol.can anyone give me some info about these hotels and which 1 would be better for an 18 year old like me?

I can tell you i had the greatest time at fun royale/tropicale. They have a great animacion team, 24hr drinking and food, decent nightly entertainment, a disco on premises, probably the nicest snack shack/bar on the beach... altho they are not on the beach they are one of the cheaper destinations and really give good value for money. I'm going back.
