Default Couple of Cabarete questions

Hi,
I'm coming down next month and had a couple questions I hoped you guys could answer.
Does the casino in Cabarate have a dress code?
I don't plan on walking in in flip-flops, but was hoping some nice shorts would be OK.
Also, I'm staying at the Caracol?
Are they guest friendly?
I'm coming down for 6 days and plan to go to the castle at Puerto Plata and into Sosua.
Any must sees recommended or most avoids appreciated.
Gracias.

I believe that they do not allow tank tops in the casinos, but I think that you''ll be ok with shorts & flip flops.

we were 4 girls in bathing suits with our wraps one afternoon. It was not a problem but we did feel a little out of place. Later that evening, we dressed up properly and most people were.

Default Caracol is closing down forever

Don't know if you heard but as of April 9th. Caracol will no longer exists.
they will tare it down and make place for yet another complex of luxurious condos.. as if all this Ocean One and Ocean Dream weren't enough.

My parents have been going there since they opened 12years ago and they are mourning now. They have been searching for the same kind of place ever since the announcement.

I'm truly sad. I liked it there
