Default Fishing

I am planning a trip to the Dominican Republic, later on this year, probably in the month of October. My questionis is about fishing, charter or local fishermen. Is this possible and what are the regulations concerning licenses and the other lawsand limits of fish caught. Can anyone give me a site to go to to find prices and all the necessary information I will need.
Also what about the weather in October, Is there a hurricane season there and will I miss it in October? Thank you for the information and hoping to here from anyone.

I have a boat located @ Club de Haina outside of santo Domingo would be glad to take you fishing. Weather can be great to somewhat chopy seas.Slammed the wahoo and tuna this year in Oct. But fishing is fishing. Charter boats are expensive around 1,200 per day. some locals will take you out in there yolas but make sure you get a firm price first and ask about who gets to keep the catch. There are laws but no one to inforce them here.
