Question Birthday Cake in Cabarete?

Any suggestions on the best place in Cabarete to have someone bake a birthday cake?

I don't know where to get regular B"day cakes, but if you want a fancy one like in the posts below, PM me and I'll give you Sandi's contact details.

I ordered one for my wife from Dick's. Had to order it 3 days in advance. It was great. Only thing they didn't put her name on it. It wasn't cheap but it was for her, so who cares.

There's a bakery (panaderia) in Islabon, right on the highway just past Cabarete that will make a great birthday cake in an hour or so...not too expensivre and they'll write whatever you'd like on it.

As long as it's not one of those flour, sugar & water Dominican cakes that tastes like you're eating sweet nothing.
Besides, who could compete with the likes of these cakes?

I can personally vouch foSandy's baked goodies... they're awesome! But in a pinch, the cakes (at least the birthday cake I tried) from the place in Islabon was great...

Thanks to all for the quick responses!

Not sure we'll go as elaborate as one of Sandi's cakes this time around, but will definitely keep in mind for the future and pass the word on to anyone else I hear is looking for something special.

Dick's had been a thought, but wasn't sure if they made cakes. Islabon may be the ticket this time around.

Thanks again!
