Default Transportation from Santo Domingo to Puerto Plata
Needing some help in trying to figure out the most cost effective way to travel from Santo Domingo Airport (SDQ) to Puerto Plata. Are their charter buses that travel between cities?

Also, can you fly from Santo Domingo to Puerto Plata? If so what airlines and I how can I contact them?

Most economical, depending on when your plane arrives, would be to take a taxi to Caribe Tours bus terminal and take a bus from there. Buses leave on the hour from 6 am to 7 pm daily. The bus trip to Puerto Plata takes about 4 hours.

I agree....hop on the express bus with a quick stop in Santiago...cheap and comfortable so sit back and enjoy the ride!
