Default Earthquake Sosua 5:30am

I felt it this morning, my bed was moving a little bit, and my wife felt it too.
It's my first, so I can't compare, I don't know if it was strong or not.

Do you felt it too?

I was in bed in Playa Dorada and it hit here at exactly 5:38. I woke up just before it and had just checked the time. The bed was rolling but it only lasted about 8 seconds.

Notice at the bottom of the page that the seismogram from the Presa de Sabaneta, San Juan de la Maguana, DR, is the one reporting the greatest fluctuations...

So that is what rattled the house here in Santiago and woke me up!! Thanks folks.
This could well be connected to be major 6.8 quake that hit western Guatemala yesterday. We are on the same tectonic plate . Wonder what the geologists will say...??

Compare the seismic chart of the Hato Mayor, DR, seismology station with that of the Sabaneta, San Juan de la Maguana (above). The Hato Mayor seismogram started picking up rumblings starting around 2:30 am, and continued to do so with continuing frecuency until the 5:30 am big jolt.

I was awake and at my computer at that hour, and did not feel a thing.
