I went by yesterday and saw the site as well. I will try to go by today and get some photos as well. Not sure if I have time though. Lots of trucks and starting to make lots of mess. The trucks were lining up on the Malecon - I hope they don't destroy that nice new road!

I just drove by today (March 5th, 2008 around 14:00):

There is more going on than what may appear on the pictures...

For earth googelers: The site in question is at:

19°47'43.87"N, 70°41'5.22"W

Just copy the whole above line and paste it into your "Fly to"-window and click "go".

Default Update March 17th 2008: Removing the loose dirt

I think this will be an interesting project to observe, so if it interests anybody else too, I'll just keep on posting pictures.

There is a LOT of loose dirt (called "tierra madre" here) on this lot... also a considerable difference in levels. They are digging it away. There are trucks leaving in 3 minute intervals, filled with dirt.

Both Eastbound views.

J-D.
Yes, please do, but if you could reduce the pic size so that it doesn't stretch out the whole thread, it would be a lot easier to view.
