Default Dajabon - Travel/Hotel

Hello - I am new to this forum and I have found the community amazing for all its great help and information!

I checked out the Caribe tours site and found the Dajabon bus times. Do these Dajabon times on the interior schedule originate in Santiago?
I'm thinking that is the best place to fly into and leave from. I assume Santo Domingo is a long haul.

Also, I found some info on the board about Hotel Juan Calvo and Bonanza. Are these still up and running? Any preferences (location, rooms, etc.)?

I really appreciate any thoughts/info...

yes Hotel Juan calvo and Bonanza are still up and running, the owners are sister and brother. I recommend Hotel Juan Calvo. Both are clean and safe, but the location is much better here, short distance walking from every where in down town.
Say hello to <Dona Angela>.

Thanks for the advice JJ.

I know it is always hard to tell, but think I could get a room once I get there since the day I arrive could change? Or is this a spot that could fill up?

Also, what's the drive time to Monte cristi? It's hard to estimate on the maps I have found.

I think you will have no problem getting a room w/out reservation upon your arrival, I did it for 10 years every month, when I used to be working like a sales person .
The distance from Dajabon to montecristi is 40 Kl. ( 45 min. if the road is in good condition ).
