in Sosua it's "Super Super", hands down.

If you're feeling adventurous and can speak a little bit of spanish, go off the beaten tourist path and find a local colmado. You will find the local prices there.

i've been in a lot of colmados and have never seen one with anything like the selection available in Super Super. even most supermarcados pale in comparison.

Good exchange rates, too, if you get them on a day a delivery is going to be made and the need the dollars...

Super Super had the lowest prices in the whole country. Even less than SD. They do not carry as many brands of wine as the larger supermarkets, but their prices are always less.

If you are a local and shop there all the time you can even get a small discount.

I'll second that. They speak English, French, Spanish and other. Hurry up they sold the place and the new owners will take over within a few months. Let's hope the new owners don't put the prices up too high.

I guess that will be the end of a good thing. Guaranteed the prices will rise and it will just be the same as anywhere else.

That's good news for them and bad news for us.
Nobody could ever right as tight a ship as those two brothers have.
Kudos to them for making Sosua a better place to live in.

A role model they were for business owners in Sosua. I hope they enjoy their well earned retirement.
