Advice/Info on Breezes AI

I have a friend who is going with his girlfriend to stay at Breezes in the next couple of weeks.

He of course asked me about this hotel cuz I used to live in POP, but Breezes is probably one of the only AI's on the North Coast I have never really heard much about.

It's not right in POP is it? I think it's on the other side of the airport (I mean the other direction from POP), right?

Can anyone let me know how far it is from POP? And how far it is from Playa Dorada? Is it easy to get a Taxi from that hotel? How far from (and best ways to get to) Sosua & Caberete?

Any other experiences/comments from anyone who knows more about the hotel?

I assume Breezes will have their own tourist sort of disco within the hotel...

But since it's been more than a year since I lived there...best discos in the area besides Playa Dorada (Mangu...etc) I used to love La Canita...are there any new discos in POP area I should recommend?

It's between Cabarete and Sosua and I know nothing else about it.

Ooooh...it's that far out...ok...I thought it was just on the other side of the airport.

Breezes is about 20-25 mins away from the Airport, just past Sousa. It is about 10 mins away from Sousa going east. It is also a few mins away from Cabarete. Playa Dorada is about 45 mins away.

There is a free shuttle service to Sousa and Cabarete that runs three times during the day.

The hotel has a dicso that runs from about 10pm to 2am. Sometimes it is happening other times there isn't many people in it. There is a 24 hour beach bar though, that everyone seems to hang out at after the shows are done for the night. They play music there and sometime you can see the drunks dancing!!!

If the people want to go to a real Dominican Disco they can take a taxi into Sousa and there are a couple there. The cost of the taxi is about 10 US each way, or 300 peso.

It is about 60.00 us round trip to take the taxi into POP. There is always the disocs in the Playa Dorada complex that they can go to.

Depending on when you lived there Breezes used to be known as LTI Sol de Plata, in case that helps refresh your memory.

One more thing to add. Breezes recently re-opened their casino under new owner/management. It's totally re-done and looks really nice (clean, new machines/tables, etc.). That's in case your friend/s like to try their luck.
