Puerto Plata Hotels

We are looking for a hotel that is directly in Puerto Plata that isn't all inclusive. We want something that isn't very upscale at all. We don't plan to spend alot of time in the hotel...more just to store our bags! lol

any ideas on places that we can stay in Puerto Plata?

KMA - just opposite jose luis off manolo tavarez justo - fully furnished apartments for rent. visited friend who stayed there - all very nice and clean.
