Default barcelo puerto plata
I will be going to DR fro the first time on March 9th and staying at teh barcelo puerto plata. Is this a nice hotel? Does anyone have any info on it?

Also, what is there to do around it? Within walking distance? Is it a safe area?

Very safe area. Lots to do day and night. It is the Flamenco Hotel next to Gran Ventana in Playa Dorada. It had a name change to Barcelo. Great beach.
