Ocean World's 4th Texas Hold'em Poker Tournament March 15 2008

Conchman and Ocean World are pleased to announce our 4th RD$1,000,000 Texas Hold'em Tournament on Saturday March 15, 2008, registration open at 11 am start 12 noon. As always, the entry fee will be RD$15,000. There will satellite tournaments on the 14th starting at 7pm, also a 2nd chance tournament on the 15th at 5pm (RD$5,000 entry fee), for people who get knocked out early. In addition, we will have a RD$10,000 entry tournament on Sunday the 16th, at 7pm. Lots of cash games inbetween with players from the Turks and Caicos, Bahamas, Miami, Santo Domingo, Santiago, Punta Cana and the regulars of the North Coast. Our last tournament had 71 players, we expect close to 100 this time. Email grobinson@ocean-world.info or call 809 291 2000 for more information. I will post a flyer in a day or two. The entry fee to the main event includes two free tickets to Ocean World Adventure Park and two tickets to the famous Bravissimo Show on top of the casino. Join the fun!

Can someone recommend a hotel close to Ocean World? I am not looking for anything fancy, just clean, comfy with AC and close by.

I can get good rates at Hacienda Resorts for around US$60 per person all inclusive, valid only for tournament weekend.

obviously i am to late to make this tourney but, id still like to book a vacation to the north coast in the dominican republic. My criteria would be to find a casino that has always got a game going. I actually prefer some mini tournements as well, so, if there is a place like that, it would be a plus for me.

The last time i was in the dominican, i stayed in sosua and played some mini tourneys at casino playa chiquita. They had troubles getting a game going on most nights there. This was about 3 years ago, maybe things have changed since then. I like to play what is equivelent to online poker of No limit Holdem and blinds are $0.50-$1 (usd) with $100(usd) max buy in. Or, some mini ten man sit and goes with anywhere from $10 buy ins up to $30 buy ins. Does this exist in the Dominican republic?

So, this is my question. Can someone recommend me a casino in the dominican that is probably the most solid casino for holdem? I plan on staying one week and a hotel in the $50 range would also be nice. Id say that %50 of my time will be spent playing poker, so, id like a casino that has poker ongoing all the time and ill always have a game to play. Is this possible? Thanks in advance

Arthur Manfredi won the 1st RD$1,000,000 tournament back in April 2007, yes
