Default Looking for used bedroom furniture in downtown P.P.

Hello Everyone,

I will be living in downtown Puerta Plata for at least 2 months and I am looking for inexpensive used bedroom (dresser drawers, bookstand, desk and chair, bedside tables, night lamp or desk lamp) and apartment furniture (Tv and TV stand), etc.

If anyone knows where I can find such items or maybe a local carpenter
who I can hire to make me some of the furniture at a good price.

Thanks

Any of the compra-ventas - try the one on Separacion near the Puente Guineo. If that's no good try Imperial up on the circumnavigacion road.

Lambada,
Thanks for the info!

I already discovered the PULGA...picked up some great items for my place.
So my apartment is coming along.
I was just shocked at the prices of houseware items here in the stores.
For half the price and double the quality I can get better items back in Toronto.
So just need some temporary things until I am able to ship and bring on my next visit some things here from back home.

My landlord said women all over the world are the same, that we love to decorate, he was laughing that within 2 days of me moving in, I was already making big decorating plans...LOL!

Now I have to find a paint store. LOL
Hopefully those prices wont be outrageous.

Bottom end of JFKennedy down near the port area (where all the sewage works are going on in the street) store is on your right hand side facing port. You can't miss it, it's huge.
