Wow Terrific, TY for those who gave me great advice and hopefully when I awake tomorrow morning before I see the travel agent, I will have a couple more post to read through. Orignally I was really leaning toward Breezes or RIU but I see alot of people are suggesting Cabarete, All in all I am just looking for something that matches my criteria of, Huge Hotel,Great Pool Scene,Quality Food, Close to the nightlife action because we are trying to find many beautiful people at the resort as well as the local towns. SO any last minutes pointer would great thanks again??

Best advice is the Tangerine AI in Cabarette that you were given earlier.

Thanks again for breaking down each one of these AI , I am really leaning on picking on of these 4. If DB or anyone else who is reading this that could make a suggestion out of these 4 that would best fit the criteria of my dream vacation that would really be nice. I no most of the AI resorts are not in walking distance to the Local Nightlife Action but hopefully some of you had a great experience at one or two of the selected resorts with tourists and such and could direct me to the right choice.
*Remember were 5 guys in our 20's all single looking to score big on the resort with Euros and Locals, but were also trying to stay at a 4+ star hotel in a big city. I just don't think tangerine and there 200+ rooms in cabrete is what were looking for as far as our ideal hotel...
My buddy just came back from casa marina sosua, & were looking for something very similar to that if not better than that whole setup.

Dude, book one of the 4 hotels you mentioned... every one is pretty isolated & not near sh**. Or go to Cancun. You'll be deliriously happy.
PS: other than inside the AI grounds... Cabarete is the only town with bars/discos open to 3a.m. 7 days a week. Other towns have an earlier curfew. Sosua for example 1:30am weekdays, 2:30 fri/sat.

VIVA tangerine is your BEST option...walking distance to the nightlife (bars & ladies) in the centre of cabarete & lots of young ladies to party with at the resort.
The other options are too isolated....
I was at Viva Tangerine in March & I am 30 and was too old for the younger crowd at this resort.
in my opinion this is the only choice that matches all of your criteria

noone mentioned Sosua Bay. nice AI, sosua beach out the back door, casino/disco across the street (kind of) and nightlife a stone's throw away and often times some nice female tourists (you get them for free).
personally, i hate AI's now but i thought i'd mention it.

Murdsta,
First, welcome to DR1!
Nothing to be confused by, Murdsta. You asked what was out there, and were told by some awfully knowledgeable people what to expect. Here's the reality:
1) Nothing like what you're looking for (a variant of Cancun) exists on the North Coast.
2) It doesn't exist because the million or so 20-something guys and gals who have done more or less the same trip you're now planning have found that set up to be a bit boring. See, most of the people (including the euro and NA cuties you're interested in) leave the AIs pretty quickly in order to get to Cabarete and Sosua Beach. They like windsurfing, ATV trekking, horseback riding, snorkeling, bar hopping, and meeting guys who don't isolate themselves in AIs.
3) As far as meeting locals, you'll do just fine if you hang out on the main roads in Cabarete and Sosua at night.
My best suggestion is to take advantage of the sage advice that's been offered to you, go with an open mind, be safe and smart (meaning NO drugs, and use protection), and have fun. It's hard not to have fun on the North Coast.
Enjoy your vacation,
DRob

sosua bay hotel...
I am not a big fan of AIs either as they are usually very isolative, BUT I thought SBH was a good option due to location primarily. It is right on Sosua Bay, the view is beautiful, especially from the pool, and you can walk to anything and everything in Sosua. Granted, the food is average, but that motivated us to leave often and spend the extra money on eating out. The staff was very friendly, and the drinks were decent. There is only one pool, but it is really nice and again, the view from the pool is beautiful. Oh, if you do a search for this hotel online, do not confuse it with Sosua Bay Resort, which I believe is in Puerta Plata.
Good luck!

Sosua is the best place for singles young guys looking for fun, Casa Marina is perfect. The disco stay open laiter than any other place in Sosua.
