Perhaps people some people need to keep things in perspective rather then centering their attention, over and over again, on ONE road. There is more then ONE road in the Dominican Republic.
No one knows IF or WHEN any road will be worked on or why any spacific road does get worked on. Many roads in the North Coast are need work as well as many/most in the Country. Manhole covers are missing... again. Try going up El Cocho road.... all the way to its' end. Calle Erich Benjiman and that whole area that a development group said that they would fix... how many years ago? As Hillbilly pointed out in another thread about the POP/Santigo roads; both of them.
The North Coast main road has holes with cars and trucks swerving into the other lane all the time.
Quite frankly, I never expected that any road would ever be anything like back in my country. After 15 years the D.R. I have not been dissipointed. I don't let the road stop me from where I want to go, it just takes me a little longer to go up/down La Mulata a couple of times a week as well as many other roads. Driving anywhere here requires full time attention and adjusting to the situations. If you can not do that.....
Some people are doing what they can and are way more frustrated then you. But instead of complaining, they at least try to get things done even though they know it is a thankless and appears to be a never ending task that they get no one thanks them for nor shows any support.
