Robert, Amaury is not the mayor, the mayor is Jorge Cavolli, Amaury´s uncle.

Jorge´s office (el ayuntamiento): 809-589-7296 and 809-589-7284

I will send you a PM with his email address. He speaks and writes English very fluently.

But Edenorte (electricity) is not exactly something he can do much about. Edenorte is notorious in this area for being slackers so I am not surprised. Sometimes I think Edenorte sends the slowest folks up here so the company doesn't have to do any real investments in the area <sigh>.

The best person to talk to will be the City Engineer. Jorge Cavoli (the mayor) can direct you to him. He can push Edenorte nicely without getting them upset at you.

What kind of business are you starting? I live in Cabrera and am always interested in hearing about the new business ventures! Welcome!!

Amaury's facebook page gives me the distinct impression that he'd like to take his uncles place when he retires.

I've met Jorge; definitely a nice guy. We've thrown down cold ones a couple of times.
