I have never seen a large fish tank for sale on the North Coast. I suspect you will need to make a trip to Santiago unless there is someone selling one privately.

Funny, I just got one, second hand, no idea yet as to the size. I do not have pump, filter or fish, but I will go slow on it....I used to have an aquarium way back in the day...more than half a century ago!! Thought it might be relaxing...

Have no idea as to what to put in it yet...Am certainly open to selections of readers...

guppies, swordtails, angels, some bottom feeders...

Let me know..

The vets and petshop on Antera Mota in Puerto Plata sells exotic fish. You could ask if he'll sell their home as well.

Franz from Happy Surf (Wind Surf place at Villa Taina in Cabarete) makes all his own fish tanks - he has so many of them both at Happy and also at his Pizza restaurant in the Callejon and seems to be an expert. He loves his fish and loves to talk about them - perhaps pop in and see him for advice.
