Question whales of Samaná

Do the whales of Samaná jump, flipper and show off at night as well as in the day? or do the whales sleep at night?

I am sure there must be some action at night, but whales seem to be more active during the day. They especially seem to like having the water a little rough. At night, the bay is almost always quite calm, no matter how rough during the day. Also, they are very difficult to see, given their color and the darkness of the night. To see the whales, go out in the daytime.
