Default Go for it!!!

I've always wondered how to contribute to these posts. Personally, I would be very wary about asking a stranger's opinion regarding a tourist spot I've never visited. We, in this board, are all strangers to you. You don't know us, you don't know what we need, what we like... A vacation is always an adventure, a personal experience of discovery and enjoyment. Don't be insecure. You will be going to a great spot, Las Terrenas, and maybe the plumbing of Palmar Al Mar would not be up to your standards. So what! However, I can assure you that you and your friends, and your children, will have the time of their lives!!!!

Default Ask a stranger?

We were there for six nights in February this year. It was just fine and reasonably priced. This is what I posted on another site.

Palmas al Mar: Nice residencial type hotel. Twelve (?) units. Two en suites in each unit. Nice big patio. Cooking facilities. Nice pool. Ten minutes walk to El Paseo. $98 USD for the two-couple unit. Strangely you have to buy you own toilet paper. Welcome to Las Palmas al Mar! Do not confuse with the other nearby hotels – Las Palmas (up a back alley and nearby) or Las Palmeras (closer to El Paseo).

Private message me for more specific information.

But who else are you going to ask unless you know someone who's been there?

Right! And I guess -- looking back at my comment -- so was I . . . and opinions often vary on any one hotel based on expectations and the personal experiences don't they? If, for example, the OP is looking for a wild time with lots of younger swinging singles cavorting around buck naked in the pool -- he/she won't find it at this place.
