Hi, we love the playacolibri hotel, seems it's the same rates as Palococo for an appartment and it is right ON one of the most beautiful beaches of Las Terrenas - have a look at their site Playa Colibri Hotel - Oceanfront Apartments in Las Terrenas Dominican Republic - there is a restaurant in the garden if you don't want to use your own well equipped kitchen.

This year, due to the extensive public works on the roads, the place to be is Playa Bonita. Any hotel on the beach, there, will be better, because far away from the construction sites. As some of you know, I have my favorites, that can be found by searching "playa Bonita" in the archives...
