San Pedro to Samana
I'm planning a trip from San Pedro to Samana this weekend, and have a couple questions. We're (3 guys) are planning on going for 3 days if everything works out, hopefully either Fri-Sun, or Sat-Mon. Either way, we're wondering what the best route might be.
We were thinking that taking a bus from San Pedro to Sabana de la Mar and take the ferry, or from San Pedro to Santo Domingo and straight to Samana.
What do you think. We're ok with taking whatever, and would rather spend less than more but also don't want it to take 10 hours and lose lots of time there.
Also, we're wondering where might be a great place to stay, something relatively cheap, nothing fancy.
Finally, does it matter who we book a whale tour with, should we just get to Samana and figure it out there?
Anything else we should know?
