What is the best way to get from Las Terrenas to Las Galeras on public transportation?? And about how long will the trip take?

you can get a taxi in LT to las galeras,do not know cost...but,you can tak guagua from LT to el limon,change to guagua to samana,and then guagua to las galeras...this is about 200pesos,and an hour or so...

I took a taxis from LT to Samana a little while back and it cost me a whopping $70USD! The driver gave some nonsense about there being a standard rate that all taxi drivers were required to charge. Unfortunately, I had no alternative at the time. It won't happen again! Your best bet is to do as jaguarbob says: the guagua to El Limon, a guagua to Samana, and then to LG.

According to the association publish price list, the going taxi price list, LT to Samana is $50USD, LT to LG is $80USD.
