how to book hotel in samana???

Hi There!
How can I book a small hotel (i.e. hotel King) or a casa de huespedes in samana city for few days on the next August? I tried the reservation form on the samana.net but it doesn't work!!! any other option? by the way, is it safe to go there without any reservation? are they all full in August???

Not sure where you are located geographically but for the cost of a quick long-distance phone call, that is what I suggest and have done in the past.

I am sure you would find something if you "just showed up" but IMO, better to arrive preapred.

Although it is possible to go to Samana in August without reservations, I think it is always best to book in advance. Most of the hotels in the DR have independent websites in addition to the Samana.net, and you cannot access the website booking facility, you may be able to make arrangements for accommodations by emailing them. Use Google or Yahoo. You will feel more comfortable knowing that you have confirmed reservations. Also, you will know exactly how much the accommodations will cost. You may get a better rate for a longer stay or if you pay in USD/DOP rather than using a credit card. Ask. I suggest you get as much information about your trip before hand and make your vacation as effortless as possible. Samana is a beautiful city! You are going to have a wonderful time there!

Just go there. If you book from some photos on the internet you could be in for a lot of surprises.

You will have no problem finding what you want at this time of the year.
