Where should we stay in Las Galeras?
Hi all,
Looking for your input as to a good place to stay in Las Galeras. Looking for something not too expensive, not too far from the beach, and that serves breakfast. Any suggestions?
Thanks!

I like Elmarinique@hotmail.com (?). Run by Andy and Nicole. Close to beach, quiet, very good food. They have little cabins with enough comfort for a good time.
I understand that the roads have gone to pot but that is doable.
Have fun,

There are a lot of places in Las Galeras, which are not too expensive and serve breakfast and are close to the main beach which is the less nicest of all the beaches in the Las Galeras area.
All the others beaches are a little spread out and have no accomodations very close to them as some are part of protected areas where no building is allowed and are only accessable by foot, boat or horse.
A good website to get an overview is Samana.Net-English-Deutsche-Francais-Italiano-Espanol (hope DR1 does not mind mentioning it).

Stop messing around. Go to El Marinique, and then go and look around....There are at least six or seven places to stay that are inexpensive, nice, and everything is right there.
If you want high-end go to Villa Serena!!
Just get there and look around. You know where you will be well fed and well looked after. I have been there many times and for the money, it's tough to beat it, at least IMO.
