Default Las Terrenas

I have travelled to pretty much every place in the DR over the past 17 years but I have never been to Las Terrenas, I would like to get decent but inexpensive hotel for a 2 day trip to Las Terrenas and Samana at the end of this month, and would like any suggestions as to what there is to do out there and places to go.

Here you find some info of hotels in LT.
Best beaches around LT are the Playa Bonita and Playa Cozon. Perhaps make a trip to the waterfalls of El Limon.
Where to go in LT? Perhaps you find some ideas here

Saludos

We went there in March and stayed at a residencia called Los Pinos, owned by an Italian guy. Nice big room across the street from the beach, 2 double beds, hot water, a/c, nice balcony, free wifi, for $50US. We had a wonderful dinner there too - amazing food. The restaurant doesn't serve until 7:30 p.m. Would definitely recommend. They have a web site with photos, but I can't find the business card with the URL.

I'm sorry that I did not see your OP earlier. I've been to LT many and, asided from what I think is overdevelopment of what was once a small quiet fishing villiage, it is still one of my favorite places in the DR. The beaches are really lovely. As for hotel, the Kari Beach is well run provides inexpensive and comfortable accommodations and has a nice restaurant. You'll find several posts here about the Aleisi and Colibri and the Hibiscus, which are a bit more expensive, but very nice as well. All of them are within a stones throw of the beach and not far from the center of town. There is a new golf course in LT, but I'm not sure if construction has been completed or if it is open yet.
