las galeras chalet tropical

I will remain in the tropical chalet in September, someone knows of this place.
I am afraid that it is ugly because only I have seen it in photos

does anybody knows a place called Chalet Tropical in las Galeras?
is it a decent place to stay? and is there a western Union to exchange money? any info about las galeras will be helpfull, thank

Although I have never been to Chalet Tropical, I have met the owners and have never heard of anyone complain about it....always positive comments.

There is a Casa de Cambio on the left hand side of the road down to the beach. There you can exchange money and it is also a Western Union location. You can also exchange money at the internet cafe, right on the main street at the 4 corners.

You can PM me if you like and I can give you advice on what to do there in terms of tours etc...As well as the best people to talk to in order to arrange things at the best price. Just let me know what type of activities you are interested in. There are also an assortment of local characters that are best to avoid... Harmless, but will take you for every dime you have if they can.

Overall you will love Las Galeras... It is one of the few unspoiled places left on the Island. I have lived there in the past and my fiance and I are returning in October to stay for good. So let us know if there is anything else you would like to know and we will be happy to help in any way we can!

you'll see it, and you won't be disappointed. The truth is that is even better than in photo!
We were at Chalet Tropical for our honeymoon, and has been a dream ... the house is really beautiful, well maintained, clean and with a warm atmosphere. the owners will give you lot of ideas for enjoy the area: listen her carefully, it will be useful. They have just completed 2 other new chalets, (I saw them being built) someone saw them over?
