I would like to find out information about the basketball - you know the general stuff like what teams are playing!

I haven't seen any official announcements, but I think the six women's basketball teams will Dominican Republic (host country), Cuba (qualified in the Central American tournament), Brazil and Argentina (qualified in the South American tournament), and USA and Canada. I'm not sure how USA and Canada qualified, but according to their web sites, they are both training and sending teams.

I haven't tracked down the men's teams yet.

.. . . looks like the best source for scores for basketball. Besides Cuba's defeat of the USA, the other games:

Cuba 84, USA 62
Brazil 62, Canada 53
Argentina 76, Dominican Republic 52

I'd hoped there would be some kind of live stats, but so far USA Basketball has been getting results up pretty promptly.
