Talking Coco or others?

There are lots of other unlisted choices to consider methinks. Rockies is good, and the WAIT for ribs WELL worth it! Best deal these days is likely the Coco Hotel if you can get in. Despite the recent tourist downturn, people seem to beat a trail to their door - I got the last room 2 weeks ago (should have booked!). Friendly to guests and "visitors" alike, they seem part of the local community out towards the Playa Chiquita casino. Pool/Wifi/Fans/air and some rooms now with mircrowaves and fridges... cheaper than the rest - low key & pretty mellow. Great place to just "cool your hoofies". Lots of remodelling, repairs, painting, since my first visit...this was third return. Really cosmo type guests including some "interesting" (read non moo!) Euro and other ladies. Just a thought...

well miss nice Judy....as much as I have liked the town.... and not for its male dreams excess.....i would say Sosua does not fit your description..

that officially said....you never know in life were the place you find the result of that strange foot under the table might be found.......

But Sosua certainly is a mixing pot....as is most of the north coast

enjoy your trip

What about the Hotel Voramar?

Its' about $45 a night, the rooms are spacious and they have a bar, pool and tennis courts.

The only thing that kills it is the location-close to the casino, but far away from Pedro Clisante and the beach.

And the guys that run the place are cool, Henk in particular. The other German guy isn't as outgoing as Henk, but still a nice guy.

I was in POP and thru Sosua for a couple days last month and checked on some.
There are better like Voramar if you want to pay more but for the budget minded Coco seemed nice. Less noisy moto concho's and less fumes from them. Since they don't want anything negative let's just say Coco which is owned by Canadians who seemed nice is a bargain and Voramar peaceful and nice.
