Default land prices around Azua

Hello everyone, this is my first posting. i'm interested in land prices, farm & beachfront both, from Barahona east to Bani. Lots of listings up north and east but very little in the southwest. Are there some local real estate companies dealing in this area or is it just too sleepy yet? thanks in advance for any info!

If I were you I'd go there personally. Ask around. It'll be cheaper for you than dealing with an r.e. company who'll try to sell you something much more expensively.

yes i totally agree ....go to the DR yourself! the online real estate agents are price gouging stupid people with a little bit of money to spend! i visited many times and looked around locally myself and in my opinion bought something for 'x' dollars and what do i see now but land near mine being offered for sale for 4 times what i paid (its in a lesser position to mine)....so yes i too would ask that you visit and not deal with the online real estate vultures

Default shouldn't you feel luck?

That land close to yours is offered at such a price higher than what you paid?

For as many people that have been "gouged" by real estate people, 10 times that have been "stung" for going about it by themselves...

Those that got "stung" by going on their own probably didn't get title...those that got "gouged" probably got title just paid too much...what do you prefer?

Yes, they are vultures. Go on your own, ask around about land and prices, ask around for different types of lawyers, who's recommending what. Bottom line is get a large amount of data so that you can get an idea of what's going on.

Assuming you are not native Dominicans...would you search for property without a reltor in your own country?

Ladies & Gentlemen,
Sorry for the delay in writing back. i subscribed to a new wireless internet connection . it hasn't worked as well as advertised but they are trying. but i digress, land prices in and around Azua. i understand all about titles in the DR. lots of people have lots of titles. i wouldn't purchase any property with out the help of a good attorney(not an oxymoron) however that still leaves me with the method of finding good parcels of land to look at on my next trip down this summer. any help will be greatly appreciated!
