Planning to purchase 3/2 condo in Santiago

Hello Everyone,

My wife is a citizen and I am a temporary resident. We planning on buying a 3/2 condo in Llanos de Gurabo (a suburb of Santiago). It is a new construction condo that is due to be completed before Apr. 15. I have read the real estate FAQ and the and EXCELLENT real estate how to buying guide the other real estate info at dr1.

I would like to know that since we do not have agent the builder stated he would give my almost a 2% discount. Is that reasonable?

Is a title search/survey a recommend thing to do since this is a new/unfinished construction? Could it be that someone else has the rights to the plot of land they built on or maybe some other issue could arise with the title?

Any referrals to real estate Attorneys in Santiago would be appreciated? I thought I would ask for any personlized recommendations. I may contact Fabio Guzman, of the Guzman Ariza & Asociados law firm (drlawyer.com).
