How is the Cabarete area trending? Is the price for real estate trending flat, up or down. Is volume on the increase?

I really don't know, but there's a Nikki Beach Hotel coming to town. I'd say that would be its most significant gain since wind started showing up.

I really do not know what is going to happen to prices, DR is still the cheapest Caribbean Island I guess. What I do know is that there a huge amount of condos, under construction or newly built and less people in town and on the beach...

Will probably be good for us that rent apartments. People bought the condos many probably as an investment "Prices will go up!!!", then the monthly maintenance bill comes... Rent them out!

I suspect there will be alot of pressure for prices to go down. Condo construction is hard to stop once started. There could be a glut of properties on the market this summer with some under duress.

The Nikki Beach development will be located on a 7 acre parcel near Encuentro; about a mile from Sea Horse Ranch. This, together with the new Palmera development, will be two new benchmarks for development in Cabarete!
