In my list of questions Nudel1 I was looking more for NAMES of the people/organisations involved. Have you got any you are prepared to pass on? With these names, those who live in the area surrounding Cabarete can give (hopefully unbiassed) impressions of their work ethics!!

To those of you suggesting Nudel1 has a Dominican boyfriend, I see no confirmation of this here - have I missed something? It MAY be but I certainly would not make that presumption. There is absolutely NO reason why the 'Partner' should not have come out from the UK with Nudel11 ...... (Perhaps it would be sensible to confirm either way Nudel1 just to get the information out there IN WRITING!!)

The 'RENT THE PROPERTY for a year' seems to have some support - give it a shot with the vendors!! They turn it down & you walk away. Remember, if YOU are having difficulty raising the money with YOUR background, what sort of difficulty do you think 98% of interested buyers are going to have??? It is (if you handle it correctly) a Buyers Market at the moment!! ~ Grahame.

You might be loving the advice, nudel1, but you are not heeding it. Had you paid any attention to my post you would have come back and questioned me on it, argued with me, debated a point or two. But you didn't. Seemingly it was received with 'yeah, yeah' and on to the next. Frankly we are so NOT on the same page...................... Regrettably I have other calls on my time and so only devote my energies to threads where I think I can be of use. Oh dear... I seem to have incited a veritable torrent of information that threatens to drown me!! So much time has been taken to pen so much advice that would make any potential investor want to run very fast from the DR.
Perhaps it peeves most of you that the DR is getting more exposure for its' attraction, and perhaps you wish to keep it for yourselves?? Hmmm??
I really do appreciate the advice - from the posts you will see that I have made 3 very good contacts which I am following up via PM. My original post asked for an investor - if that is what I find then that's great... I will definitely heed all your advice - there is nothing I want to come back and argue on - I said all along I wanted information and that's what I'm getting.
And who knows, I could become a CONSTANT POSTER if I am lucky enough to reaslise my dream.....
The show is not over until the fat lady sings (I am not fat btw and I do not sing) ..
Thank you DRob for fantastic information - I do agree with you all but none of you has been to the property ...

I do SO hope you meant that as a joke Nudel1 otherwise you will have incited several more people to dislike your responses. Indicating (despite all the coments made here).............. decision MADE!! BUT Nudel1, how do you KNOW we have not seen the property?? Three or Four of us may be those 'Interested Parties' you were told were thinking about buying!! You know johne, maybe we should help nudel out? You & I between us can easily come up with £300,000 - it's only US$600,000 mas o menos. Perhaps we should think about this? Course you'd probably have to rethink your Bozo Beach project, but you can do that one later. Whatdaya say? If we help nudel she'll become a constant poster after all.........
