Default Turea???

Can anyone tell me what a "Turea" is?

Apparently, it is some type of land measurement, like a square meter, or acre.

But, I do not know what the equivalent would be in M2 or acres.

I heard 600 M2 = 1 Turea, but I do not know.

Muchos Gracias!!

Default Thank you so much....

La Profe_1.

As a member of this and other forums, I know the value of the search button. The word "Turea" did not come up in a search.

Obviously, because I was spelling it improperly.

Thanks again for your help.

6 tas = 1 acre
15.9 tas = 1 hectare

And to confuse things a bit there are different tareas...or so I have heard.

A "tarea" is sized accordingly to the use of the land...
If the land is used for agricultural reasons, then the size is 629 square meters. When the land is measured for construction the size becomes +/- 630 square meters...

I think that they already stopped using two sets for a Tarea since then...
