Default condo in punta cana or uvero alto

Does anyone have any personal experience with any of the smaller condo/apartment buildings going up in Punta Cana or Uvero Alto? I am specifically considering Playa Turquesa, Ocean Paradise, Villas De Mar Azul ... They all seem nice but I was curious if locals thought one might have better rental potential or more infrastructure to make staying there more exciting.

My only comment would be that the closer you go to Uvero Alto, the further you are from some sort of civilization... All depends on what you're looking for.

Also keep in mind that Punta Cana is known for one thing... the BEACH...There are something like 30,000+ hotel rooms directly on the beach and many 1000's of condos being built in all price ranges. Punta Cana has not yet been marketed as a non-inclusive/"stay at a condo" destination...To my knowledge there aren't many easily accessed public access points to the beach in the "main" area of Punta Cana/Bavaro except in the El Cortecito/Los Corales area (by the restaurant Sole')...and as of now, no real supermarkets in the area...although they *are* coming.

There seems to be a major effort going on right now to add attractions and services in theis areas (malls, restaurants, stores, etc)... I don't know how far north that will stretch, keeping the Uvero Alto area pretty remote, for awhile at least...
