don't trust in any real estate on the island.
not even when a Trump is involved, ha ha.
looks ugly and will get worse.
that Cap Cana seemed to be a huge push for the island,
to bring big investors over, to climb a new level of hospitality.
right now Cap Cana will be for every serious big investor the reason to stay far away from any real estate investment in the Dominican Republic.
looking forward to what solutions some may find for that one.

There're projects that are not based on just promises and air.
We at Metro, thank God, don't have those problems and that's why we don't have any foreclosures and are still selling good!!!

you are absolutely right Frank,
there are good projects on the island.
but an investor from the outside will watch the news,
read about the outcome of a huge project of a Cap Cana,
and that outcome will for sure have a very big influence on many investors(big or privately small) in case of where to invest.
failing big projects are a huge damage on the image of a country as a destin for investments.

"Algunos han decidido vender sus propiedades por debajo del valor de mercado."

For that to be true, some would need to actually still be selling at higher prices. Sounds like they're trying to create a market, but at a lower price than before (and before prices go even lower). Doesn't say they've actually sold, so they may not yet be low enough.
