Default Looking to buy a house in Santiago.

I would like to buy a decent house in Santiago. Is there anything in the $50,000 to $100,000 range that a working class gringo would consider decent?
I am open to advice and suggestions.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

You can probably find a one story 3br for this in some of the outlying areas. Send my friend Patricio an email in English or Spanish and he will round up some examples for you. patriciofalconi@gmail.com

WHAAT ? wow, a 3 br in Cerros de Gurabo for $95k. They're that much now. What would a 3br in the center area cost now ? I vacation in Santiago about 1x per year. I havent' asked and going there soon, and would now considr buying something? How can i find a place that someone wishes to get rid of quickly or might be losing (4closure) ?

Probably forgot a zero...
I live in Los Jardines and you cant touch a house here for anything less than $113,000, which is why I did not answer this guy...

I am sure that there is nothing in Los Cerros de Gurabo for less than that...UNLESS it is highly questionable, maybe drug related or something of that nature...
